Friends of the Earth International is the world’s largest grassroots environmental network. It campaigns on today’s most urgent environmental and social issues. It units 74 national member groups all over the world and more than 5.000 local activist groups.
Our local group called “Friends of the Earth –Etna” is particularly engaged in promoting environment friendly behaviors and nature conservation and enhancement politics. It is also in charge of the management of Monte Serra Natural Park and Etna Museum in Viagrande (CT). Both facilities are important points of reference for environmental education activities for school groups and cultural visits for tourists.
